Working group Goods and logistics
The working group Goods & Logistics has been active since 1993, and its main task is to establish and develop methods for emission calculations of goods transports (road, sea, air and rail) as well as to establish relevant data for calculations. The work includes efforts towards a standardization of data and methods in the industry.
A first database for freight transportation was presented in 1997, followed by the calculation tool NTMCalc in 2002. Another important task of the working group is to act as a forum for exchange of experience between the players in the freight transport industry on how to develop their business with decreased environmental impact.
The working group members meet approximately four times per year, and participation is open to all members of NTM. Welcome!
