Breaking news: Upgrade of NTMCalc
10 October, 2019
By support from the research fund of the Swedish Transport Administration and internal funding NTM initiates a comprehensive development program the coming three years. The aim is to enable increasingly more robust environmental, climate and cost-benefit calculations. Results from the development program will be available through www.transportmeasures.org, NTMCalc and at seminars and educations. The project is based on stepwise development and continuous until 2022. The final aim is NTMCalc 5.0. The project will develop:
- Methods and data for buses according to Euro class 6
- Methods and lifecycle data regarding diesel Mk 1 according to national CO2 reduction quotas
- Methods and lifecycle regarding HVO 100 from different feedstocks
- Methods and lifecycle regarding electricity from 30 countries
- Methods and lifecycle data regarding ED 95
- Methods and lifecycle data regarding liquefied biogas and natural gas
- Methods and lifecycle data regarding compressed biogas and natural gas
- Methods and data in usage of certain fuels related to specific engines for ED 95, LNG, LBG,CNG, CBG and electric hybrids
- Methods and data that enables cost-benefit analysis based on ASEK (SE) and Ricccardo (EU)
- Methods and data update for all road vehicles according to data in new HBEFA 4.1
- Methods and data enabling environmental and climate calculations for HCT
- Methods and data within rail, sea and air enabling environmental and climate calculations based on real consumption data
- A calculation method enabling high altitude emissions within air transport
- Method and limited data for an open model regarding sea and potentially rail routing
Development may include more areas if NTM receives further requests and additional supportive funding.
